Education Committee
The Education committee is focused on changing the negative perceptions of mental health through engaging presentations and activities. This committee is involved in staying up to date on current events regarding mental health issues. Students in this committee have a passion for research, teaching, and advocacy, and will have the opportunity to give Mental Health 101 presentations to different student organizations on campus.
Past Events:
The Education committee has put on Mental Health Networking Night, which consisted of a panel of mental health care professionals and graduate students. They also put on Common Scents, which consisted of teaching students how to engage in realistic self-care practices and included a make-your-own aromatherapy activity. They also collaborated with the Collegiate Recovery Program in order to create awareness for Drug and Substance Abuse Awareness week by creating an exhibition of art and stories that show how drug and substance abuse have affected the lives of our student body.
