WHO ARE WE?
Active Minds UCLA is the largest student-run chapter of Active Minds, a national non-profit organization dedicated to changing the conversation around mental health on college campuses. Our mission is to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage help-seeking behavior among Bruins through peer-to-peer education, open dialogue, and community events.
We operate as the main mental health organization under UCLA's Student Wellness Commission & UCLA's Undergraduate Student Association Council, advocating for the well-being of UCLA students and working to build a campus culture where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health.
Our work is carried out through six specialized committees, each with a different approach to promote mental health awareness on campus. Together, they create safe spaces for students to talk openly about mental health, share resources, and support one another. Whether through guest speakers, wellness activities, or collaborative events with other UCLA organizations, we're committed to making mental health resources more visible, accessible, and de-stigmatized across campus.
