Advocacy COMMITTEE

The advocacy committee aims to raise mental health awareness by advocating for the expansion and diversification of resources. They also plan the annual mental health conference, in addition to hosting book club meetings to foster productive conversations about mental health.

Past Initiatives
  1. Active Minds Conference: an annual conference held to educate students about mental health, breaking the stigma on mental illness, and providing individuals with education and resources about mental health, self-care, and mindfulness
  2. Res Life Presentations: educating RA's and/or UCLA students on mental health resources, self-care, mindfulness, and breaking the stigma on discussions surrounding mental health
  3. Lobbying: advocating for mental health measures and/or policies on and off campus
